Industry 4.0 Computer Vision AR VR
Introduction

TIH-iHub Drishti Foundation, IIT Jodhpur announces Annexure A: Call for Projects in the domain of "Computer Vision / AR / VR for Industry 4.0" with strong scope of commercialization. The foundation invites translational, product-oriented proposals aligned with the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of the Government of India.

This call supports technologies with Technology Readiness Level (TRL ≥ 3) and patent potential, aimed at accelerating lab-to-market advancement and enabling intelligent, agile and scalable Industry 4.0 manufacturing systems.

About TIH-iHub Drishti

TIH-iHub Drishti is a Section-8, not-for-profit Technology Innovation Hub promoted by and at IIT Jodhpur, focused on Computer Vision, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality to foster research, innovation, translation and commercialization of CPS technologies.

  • Vision-based product quality monitoring
  • Vision-based gauging, guidance & industrial identification
  • Digital Twin for manufacturing applications
  • Spectral imaging (THz, X-Ray CT, Ultrasound) for Non-Destructive Testing
  • AR/VR/MR for monitoring, maintenance & training
  • Human robot collaboration for manufacturing & Assembly
  • Vision-sensor fusion for manufacturing systems

 

Eligibility & Guidelines
  • Collaborative projects only (Research Team + Translation Team)
  • Project duration: 2 years
  • Supported TRL Levels: 3 to 6
  • Proof of TRL / Proof of Concept must be enclosed
  • Fundamental R&D proposals will not be supported

Quarterly deliverables must be clearly mentioned in the form of a Gantt chart / matrix.

 

Funding Support

Financial support is provided for temporary staff salaries, project-specific equipment, prototype development, consumables, domestic travel and miscellaneous items. Infrastructure, buildings and international travel are not supported.

 

Evaluation & Selection Process
  • Submission via Zoho Form (Concept Note + Proposal Format)
  • 1–3 minute demonstration video required
  • Expert panel evaluation
  • Shortlisted teams invited for presentation
  • Preference for industry/startup partnered proposals

Submission Instructions (Mandatory Compliance)

Proposals must be submitted strictly in the prescribed formats only. Non-compliant submissions will not be considered for evaluation.

Please use the provided formats for Concept Note and Full Proposal and submit your entry via the Zoho Form.

A brief video (1–3 minutes) highlighting novelties, key features and functionalities of your technology/product/prototype must be uploaded along with the proposal.
